- China has responded to a request by the United States and Europe to take part in WTO consultations over auto part tariff rules, the Commerce Ministry said Saturday.
China's commissioner to the World Trade Organization, Sun Zhenyu, has informed the U.S. and EU ambassadors to the body that Beijing has accepted their request to participate in consultations. (Xinhua) - Japan has resumed talks to reach a free trade deal with the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations after an eight-month stalemate. Japan will also hold bilateral talks during the three-day meeting with Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar, ASEAN's least developed states, in hopes of finding ways for Tokyo to help bridge the income gap in the regional bloc.
